We install architectural shingles, standing-seam metal, and EPDM flat roof systems. Every job gets ice and water shield in the valleys, drip edge at the eaves, and a ridge vent for airflow — installed to current New Jersey code, whether or not the job requires a permit.

How much does roof repair cost in Morris County?
It depends on the extent of the damage. A few missing shingles or a minor leak is a quick fix; flashing around a chimney or skylight, valley work, or damaged decking takes more. Every job gets a free on-site estimate before any number is committed to.
Do I need a full roof replacement or just a repair?
Most roofs under 15 years old with isolated damage — missing shingles, a localized leak, damaged flashing — are good candidates for repair. A replacement makes more sense when the roof is over 20 years old, has widespread granule loss, multiple leak sources, or soft decking in several areas. Sammy will come out, walk the roof, and give you a straight answer on which one actually makes sense for your situation.
My roof is leaking — what should I do right now?
First, contain the water inside with buckets and move anything valuable away from the area. Do not go on the roof yourself. Take photos of where water is entering and when it started. Then call us — we serve Morris County and surrounding North Jersey towns and can typically get out within 1 to 2 days for an inspection. If the leak is severe we can discuss emergency tarping while a permanent repair is scheduled.
How long does a roof repair take?
Most repairs are completed in a single visit, typically 2 to 4 hours. Larger repairs involving decking replacement or significant flashing work may take a full day. We do not schedule a repair and leave it half-finished — the job is done before we leave.
Can you find a leak that another contractor could not locate?
Yes — this is something Sammy has built a reputation for across Morris County and North Jersey. Leaks frequently enter the roof at one point and travel along rafters or sheathing before appearing on the ceiling somewhere else entirely. We trace the water path rather than just patching where it shows up inside. If another contractor could not find your leak, call us.
Do I need a permit to reroof my home in New Jersey?
In most cases, no. Since March 2018, New Jersey classifies a standard reroof on a detached one- or two-family home as ordinary maintenance, which is exempt from the construction permit requirement. Permits are still required for structural changes, attached homes, condos, multi-family buildings with three or more units, and commercial properties.
